Cease & desist trademark legal

The Trademark cease and desist notice is the first step towards a trademark dispute. The trademark owner (normally the first user of the mark) demands the infringer to stop all infringing activity.The Cease and Desist acts as a demand to the recipient to stop ("cease") and not continue ("desist") this behaviour. If the recipient of the notice fails to comply with these demands, the Trademark owner is entitledto take further legal action.
