Copyright legal notice

The Copyright Cease and Desist notice should be used in cases of copyright infringement. A Cease and Desist Letter is a notice sent to an individual or business that is engaging in unwelcome or illegal behaviour. The Cease and Desist acts as a demand to the recipient to stop ("cease") and not continue ("desist") this behaviour. If the recipient of the notice fails to comply with these demands, the Copyright holder is entitled to take further legal action to stop plagiarism or infringement.
